Just discovered this Big Bang Peet's coffee about 3 weeks ago. I'm hooked! One of by favorites now. Awesome!!
So far I have tried Bing Bang and Major D coffee and have to say big bang has a better taste. It will give you the jitters right away. I recommend Big Bang for a morning coffee that will keep you awake all day.
It's just my first pot of Big Bang, but I enjoyed it. Possibly the best whole been bought in a supermarket since leaving western Europe for the States 25+ years ago. It is simple but flavorful. Smooth enough to work by. Yes, it's a medium roast, so don't buy it, or diss it, if you are thoroughly committed to dark roasts. Perhaps it's the Ethiopian component, as I seems often to like Ethiopian beans.
I love this blend, I love the medium roast, I've made it my Peetnik's regular ever since it was introduced.
Damn good cup of coffee. It has a nice depth AND a nice edge, when you brew it the right strength. And, its easier to get right than a Kenya bean. LOVE it.
