We've always believed in offering premium prices to top growers, and we think supporting small farm co-ops that ensure livable wages for all their members just makes sense. So not only are we proud to purchase Fair Trade-certified coffees, but for our select co-ops we also pay more than Fair Trade prices for their superior quality beans.
The coffees at the heart of our Fair Trade blend are from co-ops in Central America that have been part of the Peet's family for decades, even before they were certified. Llano Bonito, in the renowned Tarrazú region of Costa Rica, is a co-op of more than 600 families, each farming only a few acres. Their highly advanced operation is a model of social and environmental stewardship that produces consistently exceptional coffee. Las Hermanas, our sisterhood of growers in the highlands of Jinotega, contribute beautiful Nicaragua coffee.
We think our bright, balanced, and subtly sweet blend is the best Fair Trade coffee you can drink.
FTB is a great tasting all around coffee. I enjoy alternating this blend with my all time favorite New Guinea Highlands. Definitely, give FTB a try.
slightly nutty, sweet aroma. delicate body, medium acidity and doesn''t overwhelm the palate, with light earthy notes and a lingering chocolate taste.
Great flavor!! and the only blend I buy now. I only buy Fair Trade Label coffee now since there are so many poverty stricken coffee pickers/growers as world coffee prices have plummetted.
I feel this coffee has an earthy taste with slight hints of citrus. It almost reminds me of and Ethiopian coffee, with a crisp tangy taste.
With every sip, I notice a delightful earthy palate of toasted nuts, bittersweet cocoa and crisp Granny Smith apples. Peet
Fair Trade Blend offers a really smooth, somewhat sweet cup of coffee with its combination of Latin American and Pacific coffees. It is medium bodied, and feels light and soft on the palate. Its fruitiness, sweetness, and nuttiness are all really well balanced so one flavor does not overwhelm the other, and blends really nicely to give a consistent and pleasant tasting coffee to just about anyone.
