My first exposure to Peet's Coffee came when our grocery store promoted Peet's Christmas blend several years ago. Once the Christmas Blend was gone, I tried the Major Dickason's and was hooked. I have tried other Peet's coffees, but keep going back to the Major. Keep it up Peet's, don't change a thing.

Complex, full bodied and fantastic flavor, Starbucks has nothing on this blend! I was in Martha's Vineyard, last week shopping for groceries and saw Major Dickason's Blend on the shelf and decided it was time to try other coffees and I am so glad I did. This will be my coffee for a long time to come. I look forward to waking up to this coffee every day. Phenomenal when made in French Press. Peet you better not discontinue this blend!

My first training task when I went to work for a small software company was how to make the coffee for the office. The only acceptable starting material was Major Dickason's. It has been my #1 choice since then and is the "house Blend" at my house :-)

Switched from my favorite coffee brand to Peet's b/c of the company's socially responsible mindset and FELL IN LOVE with this blend. So good that I actually eat the beans straight out of the bag with dark chocolate (never done that before and I know it sounds crazy - just trust me) and will be making them into dark chocolate espresso beans. Amazing.

OK. By popular demand, here's my exceptional Major D's French Press original recipe.
heat 13 oz filtered water to 195 degrees
coarsely grind 18 grams Major D's for French Press
pour water into press and stir with plastic spoon for 5 seconds
brew for 4 minutes
stir for 5 seconds before pressing
press into travel mug
add 1/2 teaspoon smooth peanut butter
add 2 Tablespoons Bosco syrup (has great malty flavor)
shake well in covered travel mug (Contigo's the best!)

I'm a newbie to Peet's ...but have been a coffee drinker since my Italian Grandmother would allow my sister and I an occasional shot of espresso as kids 25+ years ago!
My husband and I WERE Starbucks addicts and were drinking up to three Venti Americanos daily...sometimes with extra shots (the largest size with up to 6 espresso shots). When I REALLY looked at our bank account, I was appalled that we were spending the same amount on Sbucks as some people pay for rent! We HAD to limit ourselves, but coffee at home just wasn't as good. Until my hubby asked if I'd ever tried Peet's....
I was open to anything to get an excellent cup of coffee at home...and so we purchased a whole bean bag of Major Dickenson's, used our club store's grinder and brewed a pot at home. DELICIOUS!! Love at first sip!!
We do tend to go through a lot of Peet's...a 1lb bag lasts us a day or two, but we fill the filter to the top for ten cups! Lol We have a 3 minute brewer by Bunn, so I don't know if this affects the amount of coffee we use---but it doesn't matter to me. I PREFER coffee at home, now!! I've actually lost my cravings for Sbucks!!! An Anericano doesn't compare to the perfection of Major Dickenson's right in my own kitchen. Never thought I could enjoy the taste of coffee at home again!
It's rich, smooth, balanced--just 100% PERFECTION!!
I can't believe I've missed out on such wonderful coffee all my life!! I wasn't able to mock my Grandma's espresso---but that's okay, now! Major Dickenson's is a keeper!! The Italian & Sumatra are good, too..not as big on French Toast, just a little tangy to me---but I am now a Pete's drinker for life! We usually buy ground and it's delicious!! Thanks for making THE best coffee!!

For years, I had been trying to find the perfect coffee. A coffee that is rich and smooth. A coffee with a mild acidity but with a bright quality that I enjoy. And I finally did it! Major Dickason's is it! Whatever types of coffee are blended to make unique brew is what I have always been looking for! I love you Major D!

Major Dickason's Blend is like a perfectly orchestrated symphony. Five coffees, each with very different flavors on their own, combine for the smoothest cup with sneaky peaks of flavor! It's so easy and rewarding to drink!
