I regularly use whole bean French Roast in my Rancilio espresso machine, but recently my grocery store was out of that particular variety. I quickly noticed a bag of Peet's Italian Roast (Ground), but I was hesitant to try it because I like to grind my own beans right before brewing; however, when I read the bag I noticed that it was recommended for espresso and I thought it must be good if Peet's produces it and they should certainly know how fine to grind it, so how could I go wrong? Well in my opinion I did go wrong. It thought the shot that I poured was so weak that perhaps my machine was faulty, but it is not. Personally, I would not recommend the Italian Roast for espresso, but I highly endorse French Roast (whole bean) for an excellent shot. Now I just wish that Peet's would replace my nearly full bag of ground Italian Roast with the Espresso Forte that I just discovered on their website. F

This is my favorite coffee! I have two cappucino coffees a day at home. Originally I tried it because it was on sale and I quickly became hooked. I always have an extra bag on hand so I don't run outl It is amazing. Thrilled that our Wegmans carries it. Not all grocery stores do.

A couple of weeks ago I was almost ran out of coffee when my sister, Mary Helen, came to the rescue by giving me a pound of Peets Italian roast!Absolutely delicious! It was actually the first time I tried this roast and was very impressed. While not overly strong in the esspresso sence,it was just plain delicious. Looks like it goes to the front of the line in my future orders!

I really love this coffee. Of all the blends I have tried this is by far my favorite. Silky smooth and not too harsh. I think this is going to be my go to coffee from now on.

The best coffee out there. Deep, rich, satisfying. I always come back to it for it's richness. It takes the least amount to make a perfect cup. No burnt Starbucks flavor. Stock up.

This coffee is not be missed! I admit that at first I was a little nervous to drink our coffee that is dark roasted, nervous that it would be too strong. I was pleasantly mistaken when I had first tried this roast! It was very bold and flavorful but not acidic or too bright. The combination of Latin American and Indo-Pacific beans is perfect! This is a smooth. bold, flavorful roast...yummy!

Lovely coffee. This reminds me of the best of the Italian coffees that I enjoyed so much in Italy. Roast is just right, deep enough to bring out the flavors, not burned or bitter. The blend is well balanced - great as a cafe au lait.
