I hadn't tried it before so I took a chance. JR Reserve ranks right up there with other favorites like Sulawesi-Kalosi and New Guinea Highlands (but trails India Peaberry and Jamaican Blue), but then I enjoy each for their own uniqueness. I've always preferred a more full bodied brew but this is a departure for me in being more "bright" than I would normally pick. So I took Cliff Sowers advice, but even though the view was nice and the deer seemed pleasant, Dorothy said no matter how good a press-pot I make that if she had to spend one more weekend in that damn cabin she was going to seriously hurt someone.

Try to picture yourself on the porch of an older rustic cabin. Elevation 8400 ft. Late Fall and the sun just coming up....... Add JR Reserve Blend, ala press pot. Your favorite person (Dorothy), and a few deer. That's pure gold for me. Try It !!!!!

This coffee was the first coffee I drank on a long 36 hour roadtrip. It got me through. I'd recommend this coffee to anybody who wants an exceptional coffee that exceeds all expectations.

This coffee has the aroma of maize and autumn that is currently permeating my house. I agree that this coffee is a blend of Latin American and Asia-Pacific beans. But if you ask me, the secret ingredient in here is Rwandan beans. Latin American beans for this coffee probably are Guatemalan and Chiapas and the Asia-Pacific are Sulawesi. But I think the subtle spiciness and cocoa texture are from Rwandan beans. Maybe, I'm wrong but this coffee is GREAT, no matter where it comes from. This is my FIRST time drinking Peet's from a presspot.

This is the finest coffee I have ever tasted in my life. Don't be put off by the price, it is worth every penny. Smooth, rich, deep and with a wonderful aftertaste. This is the beluga caviar of coffee!
