After reading the reviews on New Guinea Highlands here on the Peets website, I started craving a cup of really good coffee, so I left work early and headed to Peet's. I ordered a cup of New Guinea Highlands made with a French Press, and. . . Yep! Best cup of coffee I've ever had at Peet's. It had plenty of flavor, but wasn't so strong that it hit me over the head, made me feel like I'd just O.D.'d, or left a bitter coffee carpet on my tongue (which is what usually happens with me). In fact, this was the first time I was able to drink the entire cup and enjoy the last sip as much as the first. I loved the balance of this coffee, but found it more interesting and nuanced than the Jamaica Blue Mountain.

I just opened my freshly roasted whole bean New Guinea Highlands coffee, used my french press...it is delicious!!! I must say this is one of the BEST cups of coffee I have ever had! It is so smooth, and has such great body to it that I don't need to add any sugar. I love the lower acidity and I just can't believe it has taken me so long to find it! Thank you Peet's.

I''ve been drinking Peet's coffee for ? 10 years?... more?? First Major Dick, Guatemala, Arabian, and now focusing on the Pacific where I''d like to stay! The New Guinea Highlands is an impressive coffee. It''s delicious and interesting and addictive. Wicked good! I brew it in a presspot with filtered water just off the boil, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. The result -- a full-flavored brew that, like a really good book, grabs and doesn't let go!

I have been making my way through all of the coffees available at Peet's over the past year (all are great) and I finally reached New Guinea Highlands. As with these other great reviews, I won't repeat the obvious. All I will say is WOW!!! I believe that this is one of the best all around blends offered. Definately give this one a try!!!

Great morning coffee. Not too acidic and drinks smoothly while also maintaining a full flavor. One of my favorite Peet's coffees.

This is one of the best blends that Peet's offers. I just ordered it with the Indo-Pacific - Three Pound Sampler and found this one to be the best of the three! It's a very mellow and smooth coffee. I brewed it in my french press which brought out the most rich and wonderful flavor of this blend. It's now one of my favorites and I can''t wait to share it with friends and family!

There is not enough positive adjectives out there that I can use to describe this amazing, opulent, and decadent brew. The silky texture invigorates my palate, leaving me wanting more. The depth of flavor draws my mind to the steamy jungles of Papua New Guinea and tempting me to a second cup. And it is even enjoyed by the feline purrsuation (my companion Nora loves hers with an abundance of cream).
