Very rich green tea, almost reminds me of matcha. It's much stronger and bolder taste than most greens, so I like to brew it with 3/4 of the recommended amount.

I really love to flavor. It's earthy and deep, dark and smokey with hints of seaweed. To me it tastes like a foggy summer day here on the coast.

Peet's tea tends to sit on the shelves for far too long and gets really stale, but I got lucky with this tin. I think because it's a popular variety they go through their stock quicker and it's fresher.

I've been drinking green tea for a few years now but this is the first time I've had gunpowder tea. It's excellent fresh and hot. I''ve also been experimenting with making iced tea with it. Three teaspoons of tea to 32 oz of water brewed at 175 degrees for five minutes or so and left in the fridge overnight and I've got an all day treat to sip on at work.

I found this tea to be quite invigorating, and was charmed by the smoky taste and the name of the tea. It was an enjoyable experience to drink this tea on a winter night in the comfort of my home...

Peet's example of gunpowder green is, as usual, top of the line. The smokiness one expects is there, slightly toned down, yet the full-body one occasionaly encounters is missing. I like to drink this in the Moroccan/North African style, with mint leaves and honey after a meal of sardines in yogurt and pepper sauce. The best cafe gunpowder I've encountered in the City. Superb.

A great tea to start the day with. Its full body and smokey flavor awakens the senses and yet carries the comfort of green tea.

Even though it is one of the less expensive teas, I thoroughly enjoy its flavor. I visited California for the first time last month, and I picked up some gunpowder because I liked the smell. I will be coming back to California later this month, and I can't wait to try some of the other teas. If they are as good or better than gunpowder, then I am in for a real treat. Gunpowder is the best tea I've ever had thus far.
