Phoenix Mountain Oolong is a delightful Oolong that is fast becoming an afternoon favourite. About mid-way along the green to black scale of Oolongs this tea has the best of both types. A rich fruity nose, and a full, almost sweet, flavour, this is a tea that lends itself to an afternoon break from work by encouraging you to savour it and enjoy the complexity. Steep at no more than 195 degrees F (90 C) to bring out its best character, this is a tea that can easily handle two or three steepings without becoming insipid.

I adore oolong tea and try to taste as many different types from as many different sources as I can. I've purchased very expensive oolongs from small specialty tea shops around the world and "off the rack" oolongs from chain stores near home. Guess what I always come back to as my all-time favorite oolong? Phoenix Mountain. Thank you Peet's!

Something that has always struck me about this tea is its ability to make you pause and be still for a while. Even if just a moment, to let that deep, pit-fruit flavor sink in. It's almost as if your body knows without being told that there's something ancient here, something to be respected - tea that comes from trees older than many of your lifetimes put together. Whether you make a sweet, dry peachy cup or a very full, toasty and almost earthy cup, it's quite an experience.

Phoenix Mountain Oolong is smooth and mild and brews to a beautiful golden honey color. It is equally enjoyable whether taken in large gulps or savored in tiny sips. It has a wonderful aroma of old wood with a slight pucker finish. Drinking this tea is a very hearty and enjoyable experience.

i have my daily peet's coffee in the morning, always smooth, always rich, full of flavor to begin my day. But by the afternoon, I take a turn to tea, my favorite at the moment is phoenix mountain oolong, for a clean, fresh, and soothing experience. It helps me restart my day! The subtle essence of apricot absolutely sends me, and i feel invigorated, feeling like I have injested something so good for my body and my soul. I let it steep between 4 to 5 min. to bring it to a perfect, blossomy, and rich aroma and taste. Yum yum, I am going over right now for my 'pot a tea.'
