Sitting on the window seat looking out at ships coming and going to and from the Port of Oakland, enjoying Pride of the Port, we are wondering if the teas come in by boat to this port, and if they are blended here in the East Bay.

After reading the great reviews, I decided to try a can of Pride of the Port Tea last month. I absolutely love it! It's now my favorite tea. I can't explain it, but the flavor is unique and amazing. I'll be getting more of this very soon!

Pride of port what can i say. I usually like Peets earl gray and english breakfast. Initially when i tried Pride of port I didn''t think too highly of it. Don''t get me wrong it isn''t bad, but it just wasn''t my earl gray or english breakfast. It''s a little stronger than other black teas. But lately its starting to grow on me. I don''t know much about tea, but I am starting to see how people like this. Its as if they taken the characteristics of other black teas and placed it in this one tea.

Pride of Port is a superb tea blend that makes the perfect afternoon "cuppa". Full bodied, stands up to milk, but doesn''t require it. We order by the pound. Unlike some blends, this has complexity and depth. Enough astringency to be interesting, but without bitterness. Think of this as the "Major Dickason" of tea, and you won't be far wrong.

This is a really wonderful blend of teas, resulting in a delightful cup for either the morning or the afternoon. Superb earthy undertones help support the robust flavor and assertiveness of this tea, holding up to milk beautifully. I am never without some of this tea laying around; it is essential. I cannot make a work-week without, having to drive through the Bronx every morning, this tea makes for a wonderful distraction from the tedium of traffic.

Really an excellent tea. It has some nice wine-like smoothness, depth, and even taste. Not as dark as Assam Golden Tip. I usually make a habit of trying out different teas, but I can see myself getting a tin of this consistently.
