Russian Caravan is my all time favorite tea! I discovered it over 11 years ago at, of course, Peet's. Over time I wanted a little more of the smokey taste. Now I blend Peet's Russian Caravan with their Lapsang Souchong for an amazing, smokey, satisfying morning brew. I use a little stevia and a little warm milk to round out my cup of tea. I use a tablespoon of Russian Caravan and a tablespoon of Lapsang in a medium sized teapot. Steep for 3 minutes. I've been drinking this blend for over 10 years and I look forward to starting every day with a steaming cup.

This tea is great. It has a particular flavor I imagine some will not enjoy. It smells like band-aid adhesive which oddly enough makes for a strong, unique flavor, a flavor I love. I recommend it unsweetened, over ice.

My introduction to Peets happened in 1993 as a new student at The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. Honestly, I visited the Walnut and Vine store every day for a month! The coffee is great, but I was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent tea collection. Probably my favorite is Russian Caravan. This is a delicious, smokey, shake-you-awake in the morning tea, although good at any time. In keeping with its tradition, I am now ordering some for delivery to me here in Japan.

Evidently there are those who do not like this rich, smoky tea but let me tell you, tea lovers, I am not one of them. My wife and I started drinking RC at a local restaurant, ran across a great tea shop in San Francisco and bought a pound of their blend, then my lovely wife bought a tin of Peet's Russian Caravan. We've been drinking it ever since. Granted it's not for everyone. This is a strong, aromatic kick-in-the-butt, good-morning-world kind of tea that gets you out the door with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. It's also great for a mid-afternoon lift. I do love other teas, greens or blacks, but this is my absolute favorite that I look forward to every morning.

I started touring Peet's tea menu a few months back. Russian Caravan is definitely one of my favorites! This tea is very unique in it's flavor and has a very nice aroma! I HIGHLY recommend this tea to black tea lovers!

A friend brought me a tin of Peet's Russian Caravan tea, and I must say it is simply the BEST Rusian Caravan blend I have had.

I am usually a Peet's Tea fanatic but I have to say that Russian Caravan is pretty much undrinkable. Yes, I was warned this to be a smoky flavored tea but the TeaMaster truly went overboard on the smoking. When I drink this tea it is like drinking meat. Yes, you heard me right. The flavor is so smoky is very very reminiscent of the Chinese people cook smoked tea duck. Maybe next years batch, they tone down the smoke essence and then I will try again but for now I will stick with some other Peet's solid standbys such as Pride of the Port, Osmanthus Fancy, and my favorite limited time offering Holiday Breakfast Blend. Thank You Peet's for letting me express my opinion.
