I got this travel press to replace my original one. I too, had the press develop a crack on the inside, however it was not enough to cause any leakage whatsoever. I have used it for quite some time with this crack. I am only replacing it now, because the seal on the plunger appears to be wearing out; I get quite a few grounds in my mouth when drinking the coffee. Other than these minor issues, this press is absolutely great to be able to take coffee with me when I work my 12-hour night shifts! I still use the cup as a cup, just cannot use the press plunger. Hey Peet's, how ''bout selling a separate plunger top for this?!

I bought this press during my trip abroad. It worked great for the first 4 days and I was extremely happy to be able to drink my favorite cup of Peet's coffee inflight. But on the 5th day, I noticed some cracks developed in the inside of the cup so the coffee was leaking into the space between the two layers. The cracks got worst the next day so I had to toss the item. Having this item is great but the item does not last so I wouldn't be buying another one.
