Two things really stand out with this coffee maker, at least in my view. The brewing cycle is extremely fast, and the vacuum-bottle pot keeps the coffee hot for a long time. With regards to the aroma mentioned in the previous review, so far the only coffee we have used is Ethiopian Super Natural (I bought enough the last time it was offered I may be able to make it through most of the year opening the roastery-sealed bags and grinding a pound at a time!) There is no mistaking the aroma and taste of this remarkable coffee. I can't tell the difference between what I can pour from this coffee maker and what I could make from our old coffee make, which was also a pour-over. As far as the fact Acrylic is used for a large portion of the shell of the machine, I don't find that a problem. If it's strong enough to make race car windshields from, it should be able to stand up to normal wear and tear a

I really wanted to like this coffee maker, but took it back after a few uses. There were two main issues. First it just didn't make coffee to our taste. The coffee was flat and amazingly had no aroma. Second, the machine was made of cheap plastic that didn't even fit together right. No at all consistent with the glass and steel reputation of Bodum French press coffee makers and not consistent with a $250 price tag.
