Sweet and Buttery, Baking Chocolate, and sweetly-soured stone fruit in aroma and cup. Mellow and Gentle Acidity; with a lightly syrupy, and lightly chalky body. The finish ends on sweet and fairly clean tones.

Score = 86.5

I just had my first cup of Aged Sumatra this morning. Wow! It's my new definition of "coffee nirvana". All the goodness of sumatra, but even better!

I have been drinking Peet's coffee since the early 70's and there is nothing else I can drink. When I travel I bring a ground lb of aged Sumatra and a melitta 2 cup After going thru all of Peet's coffee's ( they are all the best) I decided that my flavor is Aged Sumatra Some people like vanilla and some chocolate, get my thought? In the beginning I was hooked on Peet's Jamaica Blue Mountain, but the cost is out of my range Aged Sumatra coffee is "my cup of tea" and I am a Peetnick who looks forward for my monthly delivery There is no coffee out there that gives me that flavor like aged Sumatra I hope that it will always be there for me as it is my favorite thing to look forward to in the morning

This strictly speaking qualifies more as a Monsoon dried style coffee than an "aged" one. "Aged" does not simply mean not immediately sold for export, but rather it refers to an aging process that occurs in the traditional method of being in the hulls of ships on their journey across the ocean, or is carefully monitered and aged like wine. Reference to the effects of the monsoon season is an entirely seperate style most commonly practiced in India. It is interesting that this coffee is marketed as an "aged" coffee when decent monsoon coffees are exotic and hard to come by.

After moving away from California about a year ago and with a Peets coffee no closer than a 7 hour drive (yes we looked it up), we decided to start ordering our Peets beans online and have yet to be disappointed. We recently ordered Aged Sumatra and this might be the best coffee we have ever tried. We brew our coffee in a French Press (which you can't go wrong with) and after trying Aged Sumatra for the first time we were hooked. This will definitely be on our list each month when ordering our beans! "Simply magical" as my wife says!

Best coffee ever. I really miss it, but I will bring some back to the UK soon!

Great tasting bold coffee. I use a french press to get the full flavor. It's not for the light weight coffee drinkers, but once I tried it...I was hooked.
