In many languages, chai is the word for tea. In India it refers to a popular milky-sweet preparation sold everywhere. Ours is a spicy blend of black teas and chai spices… cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and peppercorns.
Ingredients: Black Tea Leaves, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Cloves, Peppercorns.
Peet's Masala Chai is now a Mighty Leaf tea. Same origin, same flavor, same quality.

One star for every Mighty Leaf tea I have tried so far. With only 5 tea bags left of the original Peet's Masala Chai, I've ordered delicious organic assam from Divinitea and will resume making Chai from scratch. This is where the new owners of Peet's really fell down.
Meh. I agree with all the other reviewers who say the Mighty Leaf chai is not as good as the old Peet's. The Peet's masala chai was the perfect chai, nice flavor, very well balanced. Mighty Leaf is great in concept--comes in the premium sachets and has visible pieces of spices--but every Mighty Leaf flavor I've ever tried has been mediocre at best and this was no exception. Please bring back the old Peet's masala chai, or I'll have to take my tea business elsewhere.
Use to love the Masala Chai. Definitely NOT the same now. You can say it's the same blend but after drinking the original for years... the taste buds know. I miss the good stuff!
What happened ?! I've been enjoying the Peet's Masala Chai for years after trying too many inferior brands. Is this all in the name of corporate streamlining ? Peet's, I thought you were better than this.
Please bring back the original Peet's Masala chai. The mighty Leaf definitely doesn't taste the same.
