A Persian Gulf native, jasmine was brought to China sometime before the third century A.D. From two ends of the silk road, jasmine blossoms and Chinese green teas come together in this smooth, aromatic classic.
Peet's Jasmine Fancy is now a Mighty Leaf tea. Same origin, same flavor, same quality.

I'm a longtime fan of the previous Jasmine Fancy and was at first concerned about the replacement but think this tea is just as good if not better than it was before.
I've been drinking the Jasmine for several years now and although the bags are different, the tea is still wonderful. Try going off for a period of time and you'll be thrilled to go back on.
Many customer reviews are saying the tea is different. I work in the tea department (at Peet's previously and now at Mighty Leaf) and want to explain what is going on.
The tea in the Mighty Leaf Jasmine Fancy pouches is the same tea as in the tin (both the old Peet's tea tins and the Mighty Leaf tins.) The loose leaf/tin version of the tea used to be milled down to fit into the paper teabags. So, while it is the same tea, it would have a slightly different profile based on how the different particle size steeps differently.
I hope this clears up some confusion.
I loved the old Jasmine Fancy...do not like this one at all. Cant wait to return the unused bags...so disappointed.
Funny, all the Peet's Jasmine Fancy tea lovers seem to agree-- this new tea (Might Leaf) is gross. I actually resent that you are representing this inferior tea as "the same." Do you think we are incapable of discerning the difference? Mighty Leaf Jasmine tea, despite the cute little bags, is acrid and smells like bad fish and turpentine and tastes terrible. Raising the price at the same time you reduce the number of bags per box ( was 25, now 15) the amount of tea in the bags, and the quality of the tea is pretty low. Expecting us to believe it's the same tea because you told us so is just outrageous. This is not a good move for a company that relies on customer loyalty and subscriptions-- who'd want to be a Peetnik now?
