Tea story

The Irish are among the highest consumers of tea per capita in the world, so it’s fitting that our Irish Breakfast blend is a serious tea drinker’s cup. This blend emphasizes the pungent and complex flavors of the Northeast Indian teas, with their malty, floral and sweet dry flavors.

Brewing Tips

Start with a preheated cup or teapot.
Measure 1 spoonful (3g) of tea for each cup of water.
Bring the water to a rolling boil; steep tea for 3 to 5 minutes.
Strain leaves while pouring.

I loved Peet's Irish breakfast tea too! So sad that it's no longer sold in stores.

I am very happy to see Irish Breakfast back on the menu. Will it ever be available in stores again? Hoping to buy more tins, but they are currently sold out. PLEASE keep making this!

Even though customer service assured me that the new Mighty Leaf Irish Breakfast was the same as Peet's Irish Breakfast sadly I find it is not.

The new tea is not nearly as strong or flavorful as the Peet's tea was. I have been drinking this tea for more than 10 years and very much enjoyed its robust flavor. Now, no matter how strong or how long I try to brew it, it is not the same.

I guess that's what happens when companies merge. I can only hope the coffee quality does not also suffer the same fate.
