I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. The new Winter Solstice blend is just not as good as the older one. It's too spicy and doesn't have the smooth wonderful burst of fruity flavor. Please consider reverting....I think I speak for a lot of unhappy folks:(
Not a fan of the new recipe either, after the switchover to Mighty Leaf. So disappointing, since I love Mighty Leaf too! Glad I still have one bag of last year's Winter Solstice I can still drink.
Pam, I'm with you...this is my absolute favorite tea! I didn't even know it had been changed until now, because I'm on my very last tea bag:-( I normally buy lots to get me through, too, but now I'm sad that I can't get it and that it will be much more costly....no more stocking up for me...
I LOVED (past tense) Winter Solstice. This year however, it just does not taste good to me. I started drinking this tea in December of 2013 and fell in love with it. The tea was good in 2014. This year there is some overwhelming spice in it that masks everything else. It also has a bitter taste. I usually buy 3-4 boxes and 2 tins each year. Not this year! I doubt that I will finish the one box of pouches that I have. Please consider going back to the 2013 or 2014 blend. I am savoring the last bit of loose Winter Solstice that I still have from last year. Really disappointed.
I LOVE Winter Solstice Tea! It is my absolute addiction! Each year I buy enough to drink it year round. However, due to the new packaging (15 bags per box instead of 25) and the cost (it's nearly doubled in light of the new packaging), I will sadly have to say good-bye to my favorite drink in the world. Oh, Peet's, why??? You've just lost an adoring customer - can't afford to buy my annual supply. At nearly 67 cents per tea bag, it's too "steep" for me. If you ever go back to 25 bags in a box at the old price, I'll be the first in line ...
