Peet’s is proud to partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s
Team In Training® to support and nurture athletes and find a
cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Peet’s employees have volunteered with the Society’s
Team In Training® to raise funds to find a cure for leukemia,
lymphoma and myeloma. Over the years, employees have trained and
completed marathons, triathlons and century bike rides while raising
funds for the Society.
To achieve its mission, the Society has invested $411 million in
blood cancer research since it was founded in 1949. The Society
currently supports 281 research grants across the country, including
21 at UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCSF and UC Davis. The need is great
because every five minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with
a blood cancer and every ten minutes someone dies from one of these
diseases. Leukemia is the leading cancer killer of people under
the age of 20.
Team In Training® (TNT) is a major fundraiser for the Society.
Last year in Northern California, Team In Training raised $13 million.
TNT trains athletes of all experience levels to run or walk a full
or half marathon, complete a cycling event, triathlon, adventure
race or Grand Canyon hike.
Join us in supporting Team In Training with the purchase of a Peet's 2007 Limited Edition Cycling Jersey. $10 from each purchase will
be donated to Team In Training.
During the Summer of 2005, Peet's introduced a Limited Edition
Cycling Jersey as a tribute to our customers and fundraiser for
Team In Training®. As a result, over $50,000, was donated to
the Society. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the
entire Peet's community for participating in this effort.
