A SUPERNATURAL CELEBRATION

Some have described Alfred Peet as the “big bang”* of craft coffee—the one who started it all. When he set up shop in Berkeley back in 1966, he transformed America’s expectations of the depth, body and flavor in our cups. And that pursuit of greatness has never stopped.

In celebration of our 50th year, we honored his legacy by taking a bold step ahead. Like Mr. Peet’s pioneering dark roasts, our new signature blend expands the horizon of what coffee can be: vibrant, full-flavored, boldly original, and roasted to medium-bodied perfection.

If you love Major Dickason’s one-of-a-kind taste, you’ll find a kindred spirit in Big BangTM. This blend is crafted from some of the same premium coffees, as Major Dickason’s, but with a twist, thanks to the heavenly, aromatic citrus of Ethiopian Super Natural. It’s the perfect coffee to honor the man who still inspires us every day.

Our favorite coffee is Big Bang! So rich with flavor! Not sour at all... maybe he got a bad batch or something... not really sure! Ours is amazing!! My husband gets it from work

If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. This coffee is great if you like sour coffee, but if you don't, then pass on this one. I can't believe that Peet's dropped Cafe Solana for this brew.

If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. It is a sour, sour coffee that I avoid like the plague at the coffee bars. I wish that it would go away and they would bring Solana back.

The Big Bang blend is OK but I would have preferred a dark roast. I drink Peet's because of the superior dark roast coffees and I don't understand why you seem to be phasing them out in favor of medium and light roast. I count on Peet's for the dark roast coffee that I love. If you are wondering how I started drinking Peet's in 1970 and live in upstate New York, it is because I lived in Berkeley until two years ago.

I lived in California and the Bay area for almost 18 years. I discovered The Big Bang in Indiana of all places. I absolutely love the flavor and have been getting my co-workers addicted to both Peet's and the Big Bang. It is a must try coffee.
