How It Tastes

The tea has a complex aroma, with perfume-like orchid and smoky incense notes, while the cup is rich and concentrated with sweet, plum-like flavors. The high quantity of leaf tips in Lion Mountain Keemun ensures a cup with great energy and character on the palate. Keemuns are the best keeping of all black teas, mellowing with age but keeping their sweet and aromatic character.

At the northern tip of the Huang Shan mountain range, Keemun teas grow amid dense forests and mountain springs. Lion Mountain Keemun is a rigorously graded tea, containing only the smallest Orange Pekoe leaves for a highly uniform leaf—deep green to almost black, with little visible tip - also known as Hao Ya Keemun.

from Oakland, CA on 10/26/2018. Drinking Peet's since 1990'.

This is not even close to the delicious Lion Mountain Keemun that Peet's used to sell. Almost any other black tea is better than this tea. This tea is only good for a caffeine buzz. The taste is not pleasant. I really miss that delicious flavor and aroma of quality keemun.
