How It Tastes

Yin Hao Jasmine is scented five times with fresh flowers, so the purely natural jasmine scent is the most pronounced and true of all jasmine-scented green teas. The cup is a bright green-gold, only slightly vegetal and with a robust, nutty body. Yin Hao means "silver tip," and indicates the very finely plucked leaf that gives this tea it's fine quality.

The process begins when the tea is plucked in April during the Spring harvest, then tucked away until August when the finest jasmine blooms. The flowers are picked at noontime in the height of summer and kept until nightfall, when the temperature cools and the blooms open. While ordinary grades are scented a couple of times, Yin Hao's heady, otherworldly aroma comes from five sets of fresh flowers.

One of my favorite Jasmine teas of all time. Fresh, vibrant flavor.

My favorite tea - the jasmine notes come through so nicely, not too strong but just enough to make it extremely enjoyable. This tea will get bitter if steeped too long - I've found 3 minutes is perfect for my tastes.

I absolutely LOVE this tea! I searched for a year for a Jasmine tea that waa comparable to one that was given to me from China. This is now my go to favorite Jasmine Tea!!!

I agree with nearly everyone who is disappointed that Peet's rebranded their teas as Mighty Leaf. It is a downgrade in brand, and in the case of the Yin Hao Jasmine tea, quality. It is not as good as it used to be, but I do think it is better than mass market jasmine green tea. So, I buy it. But, is it nowhere near as good as it used to be.

I have been drinking this tea for years and even if different from the old product, it is still an amazing tea and beats out any other jasmine green tea commercially available! Just wish you weren't out of stock at this moment.
