About this tea

Tea Story

Combining India teas with the unmistakable smokiness of Lapsang Souchong, this rich, hearty brew is impossible to ignore. Leaf sizes range from small, flaky Broken Orange Pekoe to long Souchong grade whole leaves. With its full body, pungent taste and woodsmoke aroma, it’s a great tea for a cold, bold morning.

Brewing Tips

- Start with a preheated cup or teapot.
- Measure 1 spoonful (3g) of tea for each cup of water.
- Bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Steep tea for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Strain leaves while pouring.
- test

Very happy that Peets continues to offer this tea periodically; just started to see the bottom of the bag I bought last November. I love this tea - some mornings just wouldn't be the same without its characteristically smoky and distinct flavor. Don't discontinue this unique blend!

This is my very favorite! Have you discontinued it?

Last year, you offered Scottish Breakfast tea for a limited run. Are you planning to do the same this year? I'm hoping to stock up for the year since it's my all-time favorite Peets blend.

This was the first Peet's tea I ever had and I loved it. Now I find that I can't get it in stores and it's not available on line either. Is it ever coming back?

My first exposure to Peet's was a gift of your Scottish Breakfast tea. I have been hooked ever since! This elegant blend of China and India teas reminds me of my grandmother and brings back happy memories of childhood. Thank you! Please package it in the 4oz tins again. It stays fresher longer.

Absolutely the best! Just wish it were available more frequently.
