Mighty Leaf Tea
From signature hand-stitched silken tea bags to exclusive loose leaf tea, each cup is one-of-a-kind, crafted from the highest quality whole tea leaves, fruits, herbs and spices.
Since our founders first opened the doors of their San Francisco tea shop in 1996, it has been our goal to share the whole leaf tea experience with tea enthusiasts around the world. In order to spread our love of tea further, we joined forces with Peet's Coffee in 2014.
Only the best teas will give you a luxurious and unique multi-sensory tea experience. That's why we travel the globe searching for only the highest quality teas and then masterfully blend them. Our tea team tests countless combinations in search of the perfect blend, using equal parts passion and creativity. The team cups over 3,000 teas each year in order to provide unparalleled quality.
Mighty Leaf Tea Master Eliot Jordan has over 30 years of experience developing tea. Eliot's journeys through tea regions such as Assam, Zheijang, and Alishan have led to the rare finds and unique blends that give Mighty Leaf its reputation for quality.
Sustainability is a journey. We partner with growers, suppliers, distributors, and operators who complement our path and share our desire to leave a positive impact on our environment. To support this initiative, we are focused on developing new teas with Certified USDA Organic ingredients, exclusively supporting the use of Non-GMO raw tea ingredients and using environmentally friendly packaging.
We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to communities both near and far. We are proud to work with PRIDE Industries, one of the largest nonprofit employers of individuals with disabilities in the United States, to hand-pack our stitched tea bags into cartons, and with She’s the First, a global non-profit that provides scholarships, mentorship, and empowerment to girls in developing countries.
Our suppliers are long-term partners, on whom we rely for the care and craft that’s required to produce great tea. We have been cultivating these relationships for more than 20 years and are committed to fair trade practices. As part of this commitment, we have partnered with Fair Trade USA to help fund community programs in India and South Africa through the certification of our Organic Breakfast, Organic African Nectar, Organic Darjeeling Estate and Organic Coconut Assam teas.
From origin to oxidation, a multitude of factors can influence the fine flavors and aromas that end up in your cup.
