How It Tastes
This year’s Autumn blend boasts a trio of rare microlot coffees in a medium style, gems that shine brighter in the presence of their companions. A washed coffee from Jimma, Ethiopia, brings floral and citrus notes, while a wet-hulled coffee from the Solok Radjo Coop in West Sumatra adds spice, earth, and pepper. A natural processed coffee from Yemen is the final jewel, filled with winey spice, herbal notes, and candied citrus.
Autumn denotes the cycle of return. In the warm-up for winter, with fruit late and heavy on the vine, our annual limited-edition blend is inspired. A time, a season, and also the site of the original Peet’s at the intersection of Vine and Walnut. We’ve taken this namesake for this custom fall blend, fit to keep pace alongside the season’s satiety, aromatic spices, and the chill in the air tempered by the warmth of tradition.
Sparkling with the synergy of its components, this dimensional medium roast blend perfectly reflects the nature of its season and is as lovely sipped hot as it is brewed cold. So while autumn’s shortening and darkening days hint at the holidays soon to come, their tradition marks the run up, reminding us that it’s always the perfect time for a cup of Peet’s.
