The Story

Celebrating two Black female pioneers who have broken both gender and racial barriers in coffee importing. Sweet and beautifully bright beans from Burundi come courtesy of Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian, founder of JNP Coffee. Phyllis Johnson, founder of BD Imports, supplies the nutty, aromatic Brazil. Peet’s is honored to support these businesses and the Black coffee farmers with whom they partner.
