Peetnik Rewards Terms & Conditions

EFFECTIVE DATE: JANUARY 22, 2026

The Peetnik Rewards Program (the “Program”) allows members to receive Peetnik Rewards Points (“Points”) which can then be redeemed for complimentary Peet’s items or discounts (“Reward” or “Rewards”) at participating Peet’s stores.

The Peet’s App is used to facilitate the Program, and, also, can be used by a Guest (described below) for one-time transactions that are not part of the Program.

The Peetnik Rewards Program and Peet’s App Terms and Conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”) set forth the terms and conditions, including an Arbitration Agreement, applicable to the “Program,” available through the Peet’s mobile app (the “App”) and use of the App. In these Terms and Conditions, “you” and “your” refer to the person who has registered for the Program, or, where applicable, is using the App as a Guest. “We,” “us” and “our” refer to Peet’s Coffee, Inc., a Virginia corporation.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, AND/OR USING THE APP, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PEET’S PRIVACY NOTICE. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT MAY AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING REQUIRING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION OF ANY POTENTIAL LEGAL DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND PEET’S AND WAIVING ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THe PROGRAM OR USE THE APP IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. WE SUGGEST that YOU REVIEW THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PERIODICALLY, AS THEY MAY BE UPDATED FROM TIME TO TIME.

PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age and reside in the United States to register for the Program. Only Peet’s Coffeebar consumers may register for the Program. Participation in the Program requires download, account registration, and use of App for iOS or Android devices. You can download the App from the Apple App Store® or Google Play™ store.

1. COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING THE PROGRAM

Program Communications  By participating in the Program, you agree to receive communications from Peet’s, including emails and push notifications, regarding the Program and concerning offers and promotions that may be of interest to you. If you opt out of receiving emails and decline to receive push notifications from the App, you may be precluded from participating in and receiving some or all of the benefits of the Program. You are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date with Peet’s. Lost, stolen or expired Rewards, Points and Promotional Offers will not be replaced. Peet’s is not responsible for communications, including Points, Rewards, and Promotional Offers lost due to changes of address or other contact information.

Delivery Communications  By placing a delivery order using the Peet’s App, you agree to receive non-marketing delivery communications from Peet’s or its third-party service providers including via text message and calls to the cellular telephone number you provide at checkout. To opt out of receiving text messages regarding your delivery order, you can reply “STOP” from the mobile device receiving the messages. Standard data and message rates apply.

2. REGISTERING FOR THE PROGRAM

You may register for the Program and create your account (“Account”) via the App. We will ask you to provide a phone number and date of birth. You will also be asked to create a password. You must register before you can receive Points.

3. RECEIVING POINTS

To receive Points when you order at participating Peet’s locations, you must be logged into your Peetnik Rewards account and either (a) scan the QR code in the App or (b) provide the phone number associated with your Account (if any) at the point of sale prior to payment. To receive Points when you order via Peet’s “Pickup” or “Delivery” options in the Peet’s App, you must be logged into your Peetnik Rewards account prior to placing your mobile order.

You will receive 1 (one) Peetnik Rewards point (a “Point”) for every $1 (one) U.S. Dollar you spend at participating Peet’s locations.

You may accrue more than 1 (one) Point for every $1 (one) U.S. Dollar from time to time through Promotional Offers or Points multipliers and bonuses.

Certain exclusions apply. For example, Reward redemptions, gift card purchases (physical or electronic), Peet’s stored value cards (activations or reloads), https://www.peets.com/ purchases, https://order.peets.com/ purchases, grocery store purchases, discounts, taxes, tips, delivery fees, charitable donations, bag fees, cup fees, and recycling deposits, are excluded and ineligible for Point accrual. You will also not receive Points for purchase transactions at non-participating locations, such as licensed partners and Proudly Pouring locations that are owned and operated by third parties, nor for Guest Checkout transactions in the Peet’s App.

Except as set forth in the “Ordering” paragraph below, tender for your purchases may be in cash, credit or debit card, via Apple Pay®, or a Peet’s stored value card (physical or digital). Points received will be posted to your Account not later than twenty-four (24) hours after the applicable qualifying purchase.

4. ORDERING

Pickup and Delivery You can order ahead by downloading the Peet’s App and using the Pickup or Delivery option. You must pay for any Pickup or Delivery order with a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or a digital Peet’s stored value card.

Guest Ordering You can order ahead as a Guest by downloading the Peet’s App and using the Pickup or Delivery option. You must pay for any Pickup or Delivery order with a credit or debit card. You will not earn Peetnik Rewards points on orders placed as a Guest.

5. REDEMPTION TIERS

You may redeem Points for Rewards based on the following redemption tiers. Item availability may vary by location, and redemption tiers and items may be adjusted from time to time in Peet’s sole discretion:

25 POINTS may be redeemed for one (1) of the following drink customizations to a full-sized beverage:

  • Added espresso shot
  • Added sauce (e.g., caramel sauce)
  • Added syrup (e.g., hazelnut syrup or honey)
  • Added topping (e.g., whipped cream)
  • Free Size Upgrade (e.g., Order a large, pay for a medium)

Drink customizations may not be redeemed as a standalone beverage.

50 POINTS may be redeemed for one (1) of the following items:

  • A baked good (e.g., a croissant or muffin)
  • Hot tea
  • Plain iced tea
  • Drip coffee
  • Cold brewed coffee
  • $1 off your current order

Iced Tea Shakers, Iced Tea Lattes, Nitro on tap, and Cold Brew Lattes are excluded from this redemption tier.

120 POINTS may be redeemed for one (1) of the following items:

  • Espresso or espresso-based beverage (e.g., a caffe latte)
  • Frappe
  • Cold Brew-based beverage (e.g., Cold Brew Oat Latte or Black Tie)
  • Tea beverage (e.g., Tea Shakers or Tea Lattes)
  • Warm Food item (e.g., breakfast sandwich or oatmeal)
  • $3 off your current order of $3 (pre-tax) or more

200 POINTS may be redeemed for one (1) of the following items:

  • $5 off your current order of $2.50 (pre-tax) or more

400 POINTS may be redeemed for:

  • One (1) one-pound bag of Peet’s coffee beans (whole bean or ground)

6. REDEEMING REWARDS

To redeem a Reward, you must, at the time of purchase, (a) first convert eligible points into a Reward by navigating to the “Rewards” tab, (b) select a reward, and (c) then tap either the “Use In-Store” or “Add to Order” button. For In-Store purchases, the Reward will append to your account QR code in the App. For Mobile Order Ahead transactions, the Reward will be applied when you checkout. The Reward will be valid for 30 days from issuance, and can be redeemed In-Store or through the App. See Section 10 below on expiration of Points and Rewards.

You may redeem more than one Reward or offer per transaction. When there is more than one redemption option for a Reward in a transaction, the Reward redemption will apply to the most expensive item that is eligible for the redemption. For example, when redeeming within the 25 Point tier, a caffe latte order with both an added espresso shot and an alternative milk will result in the Reward being applied to the more expensive of the beverage modifier (i.e., the added espresso shot or alternative milk).

7. BONUS REWARDS AND POINTS

Program members are eligible for the following bonuses (each a “Bonus”):

Welcome Bonus  After scanning the QR code in the App during your first purchase, we will post a one-time welcome bonus of 125 Points to your Account (the “Welcome Bonus”). Transactions must be $0 or more to earn 125 points. Members who enrolled in the Peetnik Rewards Program through PeetsDisloyalty.com are not eligible for the Welcome Bonus.

Birthday Bonus  We will post a birthday bonus of a Free Beverage Reward (the “Birthday Bonus”) on your birthday (as noted in your Account), subject to the following conditions:

  • You must have provided your birthdate at the time of registration of your Account.
  • Your birthday must be at least seven (7) days after the date of the registration of your Account.
  • You must have scanned the QR code in the App during an in-store purchase or completed a Mobile Order Ahead transaction at least once in the 180 days prior to your birthday.
  • Birthday Bonus is not provided retroactively.
  • The Birthday Bonus must be redeemed within fourteen (14) days of posting to your Account.
  • Bottled beverages are excluded from the Birthday Bonus.
  • You are eligible to receive one (1) Birthday Bonus per year.

To redeem a Birthday Bonus, you must select the Birthday Bonus in the App and apply it to your In-Store or Mobile Order Ahead transaction.

Anniversary Bonus  After presenting your digital Account and completing your first purchase, we will post a bonus for 25 Points on each anniversary after your initial Account registration (the “Anniversary Bonus”), subject to the following conditions:

  • You must have scanned the QR code in the App during an in-store purchase or completed a Mobile Order Ahead transaction (a) prior to your first anniversary and (b) after your last registration anniversary.
  • Anniversary Bonus is not provided retroactively.
  • You are eligible to receive one (1) Anniversary Bonus per year.

8. PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

We may post certain promotional offers (“Promotional Offers”) to your Account. Promotional Offers will be subject to the terms and conditions of each respective Promotional Offer, including, without limitation, qualifying purchases and applicable expiration dates.

To redeem a Promotional Offer, you must choose the applicable Promotional Offer from the App and apply it to your in-store or Mobile Order Ahead transaction. 

9. REDEMPTION RESTRICTIONS

You may not redeem Points, Rewards, Bonuses, or Promotional Offers for cash, except as otherwise required by law, and they have no cash value. You do not own Points, Rewards, Bonuses, or Promotional Offers, which can be changed or eliminated by Peet’s at its discretion at any time. You may not use Points, Rewards, Bonuses, or Promotional Offers to satisfy any requirement of any Promotional Offer that requires you to purchase any item. For example, if you have received a buy-one-get-one-free Promotional Offer, you may not use Points, a Reward, a Bonus, or Promotional Offer for one item and then receive one free as part of the Promotional Offer. You may redeem more than one (1) Reward or Promotional Offer per transaction.

10. EXPIRATION OF POINTS, REWARDS, BONUSES, AND PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Points If you do not either (a) check-in by scanning the QR code in the App and making a purchase at a participating Peet’s store or (b) complete a purchase with Peet’s “Mobile Order Ahead” option, in each case for a period of 180 days, then all unredeemed Points available on your Account (including Welcome Bonuses and Anniversary Bonuses) will expire and be removed from your Account. If you have questions regarding the date of your last Peetnik Reward check-in or Mobile Order Ahead purchase, please check the Account Activity section in the App.

Rewards Rewards shall expire 30 days following conversion from Points, and Points will not be reinstated.

Birthday Bonus The Birthday Bonus shall expire fourteen (14) days after being posted to your Account.

Promotional Offers  Promotional Offers shall expire in accordance with their respective terms and conditions.

11. LOADING YOUR DIGITAL CARD

When you sign up for Peetnik Rewards, you are assigned one (1) digital Peet’s card to be used through the App. You may add value to your digital card from existing Peet’s cards via the App or online at www.peets.com.

12. BALANCE INQUIRY AND TRANSACTION HISTORY

The Points available at any time in your Account will equal the aggregate number of Points received less the aggregate number of Points redeemed (the “Available Points Balance”). The Rewards available at any time in your Account will equal the aggregate (a) Rewards, Bonuses and Promotional Offers less the aggregate (b) redeemed and/or expired Rewards, Bonuses, and Promotional Offers (“Available Rewards Balance”).

You may check the Available Points Balance and Available Rewards Balance via the App or online at https://account.peets.com/login . Your Available Points Balance and Available Rewards Balance shall equal the amounts reflected in our records unless you can prove otherwise to our satisfaction. If you are interested in the complete transaction history of your account, contact us at CUSTOMERSERVICE@PEETS.COM or (800) 999-2132. 

13. UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR USE

We are not responsible for any unauthorized access to your Account or any unauthorized use of any Points, Bonuses, Rewards, or Promotional Offers in your Account. If you believe any such unauthorized access or use has occurred, you may notify us at CUSTOMERSERVICE@PEETS.COM or (800) 999-2132. Upon receipt of such notification, we will help you to set up a new Account and transfer your Available Points Balance and Available Rewards Balance (if any). However, we will not reinstate Rewards, Bonuses or Promotional Offers that were redeemed by an unauthorized user of your Account.

14. CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM

You may cancel your membership in the Program through the App (Profile Details) or by contacting us at CUSTOMERSERVICE@PEETS.COM or (800) 999-2132. Once you have cancelled your membership in the Program, you shall not receive additional Points in your Account, and the Available Points Balance in your Account shall immediately expire. Additionally, you will not be able to redeem any Available Rewards or Promotional Offers present at the time of account cancellation. 

15. NO TRANSFERS

Points, Rewards, Bonuses, and/or Promotional Offers may not be transferred.

16. REVOCATION AND TERMINATION OF ACCOUNT OR PROGRAM

We reserve the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, or revoke your Account at any time in our discretion, without prior notice, subject to applicable law. Upon cancellation, termination, suspension, or revocation of your Account, you shall not receive additional Points in your Account, and the Available Points Balance, the Available Rewards Balance, and Promotional Offers in your Account shall immediately expire.

We reserve the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the Program at any time in our discretion, upon thirty (30) days’ prior notice. Upon cancellation, termination, or suspension of the Program, you shall not receive additional Points, and the Available Points Balance in your Account shall immediately expire. Upon cancellation, termination, or suspension of the Program, you will no longer be able to redeem any valid Available Rewards Balance or Promotional Offers present in your Account at the time.

17. RESOLVING DISPUTES

Before either party may file a claim against the other, we both agree to try to participate in good faith informal efforts to resolve the dispute before starting an arbitration or initiating an action in small claims court (“Informal Dispute Resolution”). You and Peet’s agree that as part of these efforts, either party has an option to ask the other to meet and confer telephonically (“Informal Dispute Resolution Conference”). If you are represented by counsel, your counsel may participate in the conference, but you must also personally participate.

 

To initiate Informal Dispute Resolution, a party must give notice in writing to the other party (“Notice”). Such Notice to Peet’s that you intend to initiate an Informal Dispute Resolution Conference should be sent by email to legal@peets.com, or regular mail to Legal Department, Peet’s Coffee, Inc., 1400 Park Avenue, Emeryville, CA 94608. The Notice must include: (1) your name, telephone number, mailing address, e‐mail address associated with your account (if you have one); (2) the name, telephone number, mailing address and e‐mail address of your counsel, if any; and (3) a description of the dispute. Peet’s will send Notice and a description of the dispute to your email address or regular address on file.

The Informal Dispute Resolution process lasts 60 days and is a mandatory precondition to commencing arbitration. The Informal Dispute Resolution Conference shall be individualized such that a separate conference must be held each time either party initiates a dispute, even if the same law firm or group of law firms represents multiple users in similar cases, unless all parties agree; multiple individuals initiating a dispute cannot participate in the same Informal Dispute Resolution Conference unless all parties agree. The statute of limitations and any filing fee deadlines shall be tolled while the parties engage in Informal Dispute Resolution.

AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE: You and Peet’s agree to resolve any claims relating to these Terms and Conditions of Use and/or our relationship through final and binding arbitration, except as set forth under “Exceptions to Agreement to Arbitrate” below. This agreement to arbitrate and the associated arbitration provisions will also apply to any claims asserted by you against any present or future Released Party (as defined above) to the extent that any such claims arise out of your access to, the provision of content, services, and/or technology through, and/or use of the Sites or our products and services.

LOCATION OF ARBITRATION: The arbitration shall be held in Emeryville, California, or any other location as agreed upon between you and Peet’s. You and Peet’s further agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of any state or federal court in California, to compel arbitration, stay proceedings pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate or enter judgment on the award entered by the arbitrator.

OPT-OUT OF AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE: You can decline this agreement to arbitrate by sending a letter to Peet’s that must be postmarked within 30 days of your first acceptance of terms containing an arbitration provision or by sending an email to legal@peets.com within the same time period. The letter or email must specify your first and last names, mailing address, and explain that you are opting out of the these Terms and Conditions of Use’s arbitration provision. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, Peet’s will not be bound by them either.

ARBITRATION PROCEDURES: The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator, governed by the rules of JAMS that are in effect at the time the arbitration is initiated available at www.jamsadr.com or by calling JAMS at 1-800-352-5267 (referred to as the “JAMS Rules”) and under the rules set forth in these Terms and Conditions of Use. We may also mutually agree in writing to have the arbitration conducted by telephone or based on written submissions.

ARBITATION AND ATTORNEY’S FEES: You will be required to pay the applicable fee for consumer arbitrations when initiating the arbitration. Peet’s will pay all other arbitration fees, unless the arbitrator finds the arbitration to be frivolous. You are responsible for all other additional costs that you may incur in the arbitration including, but not limited to attorneys’ fees and expert witness costs unless Peet’s is otherwise specifically required to pay such fees under applicable law. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the JAMS streamlined Arbitration Procedure Rules for claims that do not exceed $250,000 and JAMS comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures for claims exceeding $250,000, excluding any rules or procedures governing or permitting class actions. The decision of the arbitrator will be in writing and binding and conclusive, and judgment to enforce the decision may be entered by any court of competent jurisdiction. Peet’s and you agree that dispositive motions, including without limitation, motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment, will be allowed in the arbitration. The arbitrator must follow these Terms and Conditions of Use and can award the same damages and relief as a court, including injunctive or other equitable relief and attorneys’ fees. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Peet’s and you agree not to seek any attorneys’ fees and expert witness costs unless the arbitrator finds that a claim or defense was frivolous or asserted for an improper purpose. In which case, either party may be awarded attorneys’ fees and costs if permitted by law. Peet’s and you understand that, absent this mandatory arbitration provision, Peet’s and you would have the right to sue in court and have a jury trial. Peet’s and you further understand that, in some instances, the costs of arbitration could exceed the costs of litigation and the right to discovery may be more limited in arbitration than in court.

SEVERABILITY: Except as explicitly provided herein, if any clause within these arbitration provisions is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that specific clause will be severed from these arbitration provisions, and the remainder of the arbitration provisions will be given full force and effect.

EXCEPTIONS TO THE AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE: Either you or Peet’s may assert claims, if they qualify, in small claims court with jurisdiction over the claim, provided the informal dispute resolution described above was unsuccessful. Either party may bring a lawsuit alleging intellectual property infringement (for example, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or patent rights) without first engaging in arbitration or the informal dispute-resolution process described above.

NO CLASS ACTIONS: Peet’s and you agree that each party may only resolve disputes with the other party on an individual basis, and may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or a class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action. We agree that class arbitrations, class actions, private attorney general actions, and consolidation with other arbitrations are not allowed.

BY AGREEING TO THIS ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, YOU AND PEET’S ARE GIVING UP THE RIGHT TO GO TO COURT, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. EACH PARTY UNDERSTANDS THAT BY AGREEING TO THIS ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER, EACH PARTY MAY ONLY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATION, YOU SHOULD OPT OUT OF THIS ARBITRATION PROVISION AS STATED ABOVE OR CEASE USING OUR SITE AND OUR SERVICES.

If any court or arbitrator determines that the class action waiver set forth in this paragraph is void or unenforceable for any reason or that an arbitration can proceed on a class basis, then the arbitration provisions set forth above shall be deemed null and void in their entirety and the parties shall be deemed to have not agreed to arbitrate disputes.

SURVIVAL: This Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver section shall survive any termination of your account or your use of our services.

JUDICIAL FORUM FOR DISPUTES: In the event that the agreement to arbitrate is found not to apply to you or your claim, or for claims not subject to arbitration, you and Peet’s agree that any judicial proceeding (other than small claims actions) will be brought in the federal or state courts in Alameda County. Both you and Peet’s consent to venue and personal jurisdiction there.

CHOICE OF LAW: You agree that the arbitration provision is made pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce and shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”), and not by any state law concerning arbitration. Although we have made no effort to publish the Sites elsewhere, it is accessible throughout jurisdictions worldwide due to its presence on the Internet. Each of these other jurisdictions have laws which may differ from those of California and from each other. Both you and Peet’s benefit from establishing a predictable legal environment in which to publish, access and use the Sites. By publishing, accessing, and/or using the Sites, you agree that all matters arising from or relating to the use and operation of the Sites will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. If you choose to access the Sites from a location outside of California, you will be responsible for compliance with all local laws of such other locations.

18. NOTICE OF FINANCIAL INCENTIVE AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

We will only share your personal identification information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy is located at PEET’S PRIVACY POLICY.

When you sign up for Peetnik Rewards, you will receive offers and promotions from us. We require members to provide us with name, date of birth, and email. The value of this information is reasonably related to the benefits available to members and is based on Peetnik Rewards members’ tendency to visit stores more frequently than non-members. Cancel your membership at any time at customerservice@peets.com or (800) 999-2132.

19. AMENDMENTS

To the extent permitted by law, we may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updated or revised Terms and Conditions at http://peetnikrewards.com . Please check the PEETNIK REWARDS TERMS OF SERVICE frequently for any updates or revisions to these Terms and Conditions. Unless otherwise indicated by us, any amendments shall apply to any transactions occurring on or after the effective date of the amendments. Except where prohibited by law, receiving Points or redeeming any Points, Rewards, Bonuses, or Promotional Offers after the effective date of any amendment shall confirm that you agree to the amendment. If you do not agree to an amendment, you must cancel your membership in the Program in accordance with Section 15.
